User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0.1 Build ID: 20111120135848 Steps to reproduce: 1. Tools | Options, Privacy tab. History is set to "Never remember history" 2. Click on "Clear all current history". All options selected, time range is "Everything". 3. Click OK, hard drive spins, something happens. 4. Create a new window by pressing Ctrl-Shift-N. Do this a few times and see your browsing history reappear with each new window. Note that this does not happen if you select New Window from the menu instead of using the keyboard shortcut. Actual results: History was not cleared. Expected results: History should be cleared.
I need to do some more investigation as I cannot reliably reproduce this behaviour.
I was able to reliably reproduce this behaviour. It only seems to occur with web sites that open up a pop-behind window, and only if Ctrl-Shift-N is pressed to open a new window, not Ctrl-N. Also, this behaviour does not occur if Javascript is disabled. I don't believe that this is a problem with Firefox.
