Please, try to compete with Opera, if you beat it - you beat all others browsers too, as Opera has the most smooth and pleasantly looking animation.

So glad you guys are working on this as laggy tab animations are one of the very few pet peeves I have with Firefox. That and slow tab switching (issue 783748).

Just to throw my two cents in, in my opinion Chrome's animations are the ones to match or beat at this point. I liked Opera's the best a few years ago but I find them to be laggy these days.
