Dietrich notes that appmanifest.org is old and has a buggy Bespin, and I'm guessing other parts also may not be up to date.
I believe Lloyd set that up, not sure where/how it is hosted. Probably we should just take it down for now?

Well, maybe it's more-or-less okay, but I'm pretty sure we haven't been updating it or checking it.

the Bespin up there is not usable. just updating to use a contemporary version of Ace would probably render things usable again :)

Who owns appmanifest.org? Should we try to get traction on this bug fix? How should we resolve this bug?

Lloyd originally worked on it, I'm not sure if anyone currently owns appmanifest.org (but the source is on github). I believe in discussion we agreed that it was useful, though not discoverable.
IMHO integrating it into the Marketplace would be sensible, at least if the Marketplace includes any developer tools to aid submission.

That's a really good idea. Krupa - Thoughts on this? Should we a file a feature request in marketplace for this?

Code is here: https://github.com/mozilla/openwebapps/tree/develop/site/manifestchecker
I own the domain. I can transfer the domain to whomever wants it, or point it at an IP.
let me know how I can help?
