Hi there.  Lets use this bug to track l10n of the Press Graphic.  Rhonda is on board.

Please provide:

* number of translations
* the translations organized in an etherpad
* eta on getting the translated strings
* priorities (so we know which to do first)
* dates/deadlines

awesome, thanks Rhonda!  I might suggest just opening up the file though and poking around... it's a bot of a bear, so localizing it might take more wrestling that what you're used to with our projects.  So, would help to become familiar with the layers and so forth to speed things up once the strings are in.  But, up to you in how you want to approach it :)  Thanks again !
OK, thanks for the heads up Tara--I will do just that! Do you have any idea when the translations might be coming in? Im leaving for the holidays on the 22nd-26th, FYI, although Im sure they will be in before then?

I don't have an ETA unfortunately.  We'll do our best with what we have while you are here :)  thanks for the heads up though on the availability.
Hi Rhonda,

the translations are in progress and should be ready EOD European time, so early your day today. We will have five translations: German, Italian, Spanish, Polish and French. Will post them here later today.

Hi Rhonda - Thanks so much for your help! Please keep us posted on the progress of localizations- we'd love to get these out to press ASAP and we're hoping to send them w/tomorrow's Firefox release if possible.

These are actually going much faster than I had thought so I dont see any problems with getting them to you today. 

Just to confirm--you need the high resolution Illustrator file, a JPG, and a PNG at 72 dpi for each translation, is that correct?

Please note that there was no translation of the very last paragraph of text on the FR document. If they would like that localized I will need that last bit translated.

Once the JPGS have been approved I will make the other versions and post.

Polish translation attached - please use font that displays Polish characters correctly, especially ę, ł and ą
Corrections - GERMAN:

- Top left corner, second light blue box: Please insert "x" ("times"):
IS: und 32 so schnell wie Firefox 1
SHOULD BE: und 32 x so schnell wie Firefox 1

- Lower right corner, second red box: Please remove "+" after 480.000.000
IS: 480.000.000+
SHOULD BE: 480.000.000

With these corrections made, the German version is signed off!
Corrections - ITALIAN:

- Top right corner, green Sync box: Please add an "i":
IS: 25 miliard
SHOULD BE: 25 miliardi

- Lower right corner, second red add-ons box, please add "di"
IS: oltre 480.000.000 installazioni
SHOULD BE: oltre 480.000.000 di installazioni

With these corrections made, the Italian version is signed off!
Corrections - SPANISH:

- Top left corner, second light blue box: please remove "un" and replace "x" with "veces" if space allows it (to be consistent):

A few corrections and suggestions for SPANISH in order of priority:

1- "480.000.000+ instalador" makes no sense (it translates as 480 millions installers). It should be "480.000.000+ instalados".
2- "Más de 25 mil millones de archivos sincronizados". "Archivos" is not the translation for "items" but for "files". Items is "ítems" in Spanish with accent.(http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/SrvltGUIBusUsual?LEMA=%C3%ADtem).
3- "Vídeo" goes with accent in Spain Spanish but not in Latin America ("video"). No big deal, buy I think most would benefit without the accent.
4- Mozilla Audio API would be better as "API de Audio de Mozilla" or leave it in English: "Mozilla Audio API".

Rhonda, would you be able to help us knock out the two additional translations?
Another comments fos spanish version:

* We don't localize Firefox Live name in the website, so maybe it's better let it like Firefox Live
* DNT has a bigger percentage than adoption, maybe has to be first
* plus sign in 480.000 instalados has to be before: +480.000 instalados
* Rapid Release Cycle has to be Ciclo de lanzamientos rápidos

we have already distributed the Spanish version to press, but will make sure to loop you in earlier next time - we worked on a tight deadline, so apologies for not being able to take all your suggestions into account. So if that's okay with you, we would keep the Spanish version as it is.
