I_stephen on IRC reported this problem, and because he didn't even know about hardware acceleration, stayed on Firefox 3.6 due to the difficulties until he turned off hw acceleration. I don't know if I picked the right component. Is a possible solution to have the Accessibility API detect JAWS or NVDA (which he said also had problems) and turn off hardware acceleration in that case? It seems the blind are the least likely to upgrade video graphics cards. Text-to-speech is unable to read status messages (fixed by installing Status4evar extension) and <I_stephen> when I use the jaws cursor, the stuff it reads isn't consistent with what is actually on the screen.
