+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #712318 +++

I hate to do this again but we are trying to hunt down a test timeout failure that only happens on Windows XP Opt and only on the talos machines (no failures happen on a local VM of XP that I have). Unfortunately the logs do not contain any output for the failure. We have been trying several different things but they are just guesses.

I would like to run several manual XPCShell tests through the maintenance service on TALOS-R3-XP-068 and check the local logs. Would it be possible to get remote access to the machine in the same way I was given access in bug 712318? This need for access is the same as in the last bug, but last time we believed an unrelated issue was the cause so we gave up access to the machine.

If possible it would be good to not have other builds happening on TALOS-R3-XP-068 while I'm logged in.
I've disabled this is slavealloc for now. Need to change passwords, etc. before handing it over.
please reassign when done

Thanks for the access, I've been using it consistently every day since it was assigned. Everything is working now and I no longer need access. It would be best to re-image the machine as I've installed a few programs.

Hi Brian,
I've determined that this slave and few others had not synced with OPSI which means that they were missing the maintenance service.

The list of slaves is:
* talos-r3-xp-009
* talos-r3-xp-026
* talos-r3-xp-035
* talos-r3-xp-066
* talos-r3-xp-067
* talos-r3-xp-068
* talos-r3-xp-075

I'm fixing all of the slaves and trying to prevent this from happening again.

bear, bug 715595 is for re-imaging talos-r3-xp-009 rather than talos-r3-xp-068.
Did you mean to link a different bug?

Great thank you, I think I got around this by manually installing during xpcshell tests on Windows XP. But it would be good to have them all consistent.

Consistency is one of the great features of OPSI! [1] (I wish)
The bug is filed and we'll try to prevent this or other scenarios from happening again.

talos-r3-xp-068 has not been re-imaged as it had several Windows open from when Brian used it.

If I hear nothing different I will mark it to be re-imaged.
I don't need anything from it, so anything open can be closed.
