Hi team, Based on this discussion: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums/contributors/707738 Can we make sure that anytime a moderator closes a thread, the thread tags are removed from this thread? Ideally, we should have a prompt asking for confirmation of the removal. We should implement it in a way that only threads manually locked have this behavior to make sure that if in the future we auto-lock threads older than X time (as we have been discussing) we don't mess up with them too. This will help us on reporting and demoting threads that don't need action anymore.

Do we still need this? It seems to me that we have greatly reduced the number of posts we need to close manually. And with the low number of posts remaining a manual removal seems okay. Thoughts?
I will relegate it to the bucket of "nice to haves" but agree that is not urgent. Can we mark it as a good first bug? Without the confirmation box it seems easy to implement.
I think so too, feel free to change it, Ricky.

I feel this could be wont fixed. It has the disadvantage of hiding useful threads that are locked merely because they are going off topic. We probably no longer have masses of open posts threads on the forum, so the original reason for filing this bug does not exist. Having this bug actioned may dissuade a moderator from locking a solved drifting thread. One long discussion thread on the subject https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/708453?page=2#post-51095
Agree with John...and because I'm the OP...i think I can close it. If somebody feels strongly otherwise...feel free to reopen.
