As discussed with Martin, we need a public mailing list to be created, to serve as the central discussion place for all things gaming. This would involve:
 - development discussion: improve Gecko as a gaming platform
 - non-development discussion with game companies, etc

Because it's not meant to be only an internal development mailing list, I think that 'games' is a better name than 'dev-games'.
How about mozilla.community.games? There's already a mozilla.community.web-standards and a mozilla.community.mojo; this seems like the right home for communities not focussed solely on development discussion.

So that would be newsgroup/Google Group: mozilla.community.games, and mailing list community-games@lists.mozilla.org.

Yes, mozilla.community.games is good. Please go ahead and create it! Actually we have a real need for it right now, with the games work week just over!

I've sent yet another email to the Google Groups admin, since they seem to be responding to support requests. This should be resolved shortly.

Has there been any progress with this?
Google Groups hasn't responded to my inquiry, and the Web UI still doesn't show the list as existing. I'll resend and hope to catch their attention.
