Steps to reproduce:

Disable automatic forced updates


Actual results:

The setting was not respected


Expected results:

Disabling automatic updates should disable automatic updates. Viewing the about dialog box should never trigger an automatic update ESPECIALLY when automatic updates are disabled
opening the about windows is no automatic update, it's a manual update.
Matthais: Selecting Firefox > Help > About does indead trigger an update. It is not "manual" update -- by selecting "About" the user has not indicated they wish to update the software.

Firfox > Options > Options > Advanced > Update

Uncheck all the update options, and then click ok.

Firefox > Help > About

And an unprompted update takes place. It appears the update settings are not applied until after the browser is restarted.
