Overview: Loading the page referenced in the URL above ceases, and "Document: Done" is displayed in status bar, while processing <iframe> tag with SRC pointing to an external web site (in this case, a doubleclick advertisement). The main body of the page is never loaded or displayed. Viewing page source also loads the page only as far as the first <a> anchor tag within the <iframe>, stopping right before the line which contains the closing </iframe> tag. Additional Info: Here are the last three lines of the HTML that Mozilla loads. <nolayer> <iframe SRC="http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/idg.us.javaworld/;pos=top;sz=468x60;tile=1;ord=08160324?" width="468" height="60" frameborder="no" border="0" MARGINWIDTH="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0" SCROLLING="no"> <a HREF="http://ad.doubleclick.net/jump/idg.us.javaworld/;abr=!ie;pos=top;sz=468x60;tile=1;ord=08160324?"> I just checked and the problem does not occur on this page: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-11-2000/jw-1103-mp3_p.html (which is a "printer-friendly" version of the above-listed URL), and contains an IFRAME which is rendered without a problem. Sorry I didn't discover the key difference between the pages that triggers this bug. Steps to Reproduce: Attempt to view the first URL listed above, or to view the source of the same page. Build Date and Platform: I am using Linux i686 Build ID 2001030608 on Redhat 7.0. I am also accessing the net through a proxy but I doubt that is relevant though it causes other known bugs of course. I was unable to determine if this duplicates a current bug. Sorry, this is my first bug report and I will try to investigate further next time.
The page loads fine for me with a 2001-03-08 build on Linux....
OK, I just downloaded and tried the 03-08 build and have the same problem. Only noticable difference is that it now says "Transferring data from a301.g.akamai.net" on the status bar instead of "Done", but the progress bar indicates that it is no longer loading, though the pointer-arrow cursor has replaced the wristwatch(as before). As mentioned before, I access the net through a proxy. Are you? Don't know if this is a useful clue.
I not have a problem with the page loading in the March 20 build. However, the netscape throbber continues to cycle even after the page is completely display. The page's code includes several layer tags which may be a issue.
