User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1
Build ID: 20111220165912
Steps to reproduce:
Installed Firefox 9.0 from Android Market.
Actual results:
I had to grant the permissions "System Tools - Prevent phone from sleeping, Change network connectivity" for installation.
Expected results:
These permissions should not be necessary, since https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-firefox-android-use-permissions-it-requests says:
> Firefox does not currently use these permissions, but they were added so future versions of Firefox will support the Adobe Flash plug-in.
I have seen at least one (German) person in the Android Market commenting that she will not install Firefox, because she does not want Firefox to change network connectivity.
I think that only the mentioned "future version" of Firefox should ask for this permission.
(Btw., I do not want to install Flash.)
