The requirements at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html state that OS X 10.5 or greater is required. You might give the unofficial 10.4 port a try: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Worse yet, I believe current Firefox versions no longer support PPC processors, only Intel ones. Again, TenFourFox is the way to go for PPC support.
