Steps to reproduce:

I clicked on the left pictogram/photo/avatar in a vCard displayed in the message pane in order to see all its datas displayed in the addressBook UI.


Actual results:

Thunderbird asked me to choose an application to display the attachment which has been detected as an XML document.


Expected results:

Thunderbird must display the vCard by using the AddressBook UI without asking any question.

If I uncheck the option "Display menu > Display attachments in message" and click on the vCard_Name.vcd attachment name, Thunderbird does the job correctly.

The bug also exists in Thunderbird 9.01.

Hi Ludovic

I have tested with TB 10.0 beta 1 (en-US 22-Dec-2011 16:04) and the bug doesn't exist with this version.

Ludovic, any idea of what bugs could have fixed this problem between TB9 and 10?

Marking as new as the bug has been confirmed by another user on Geckozone.

This user also report that TB10 doesn't have the issue, so some change between TB9 and 10 has resolve the bug. I let someone else confirmed if this bug is a DUPLICATE of another one or if it should be closed as RESOLVED FIXED.
