User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 Build ID: 20111220165912 Steps to reproduce: Firefox should provide an option in the tab context menu by default, to close the tabs to the right. It's a very useful feature ("Close other tabs" is not always suitable) and currently in order to have this feature you have to install an addon ("Tab Mix Plus" or "Close tabs to the right").

Gavin, is that something Firefox might be interested in?
Confirming. Note that Bug 392269, "'Close all tabs right/left of this one' function needed," was marked as WONTFIX, but that was four years ago, and, now that Chrome has such a function, it would probably be in the best interest of the developers to include this feature in Firefox to ease the transition. The UX Team commented about Bug 566510 in that bug, saying that was a preferred implementation, where you select the tabs you want to close in batch, but that seems a bit cumbersome compared to just having a "Close tabs to the right" option in the tab's context menu, as it is in Chrome.
