On awesomescreen the changing between the tabs "top sites", "bookmarks" and "history" should be possible by right- and left-swipes.

Android users are familiar with that behavior from the Android Market, where you use horizontal swipes to change between the categories ("Featured", "Top Paid", "Top Free", etc.).
This is also standard for this kind of tabbed view on ICS.
Summary: Changing between "top sites", "bookmarks" and "history" should be possible by swipe on awesomescreen → [ICS] Changing between "top sites", "bookmarks" and "history" should be possible by swipe on awesomescreen

This could be easily accomplished by using Android Support Package's ViewPager. This would give us the same functionality on almost all Android releases. The drawback is that using the support package means increasing our apk size.
Component: General → IME
I don't see how this is IME related, please revert if you think different.

Soft blocker nom?

Seems like a non huge amount of work that would make the awesomescreen quite a bit more comfortable to navigate.
blocking-fennec1.0: --- → ?
Given that this bug involves integrating a new jar file (Android's support package) into our build system and slightly risky changes to the AwesomeBar screen, I recommend neither blocking or soft-blocking.
