When employees book travel using egencia, the site sends "calendar sync" emails with .ics attachments to be added to one's calendar. After the recent update to zimbra, these attachments started appearing inline as regular text messages with no calendar operations possible. Did we have an extension or something handling that historically, or was egencia using some broken markup that used to work and doesn't now, or... what?
Are you using Thunderbird or from within the web client?

Hi Johnathan, First of all, sorry for the delay on this. Second, how do you get the ics files? I'm not finding a way to email them to myself and recreate the problem? lmk, -Corey
They come after an egencia booking happens - I'll forward one to you the next time I book travel, if that's helpful?
(In reply to Johnathan Nightingale [:johnath] from comment #5) > They come after an egencia booking happens - I'll forward one to you the > next time I book travel, if that's helpful? Please do! I get emails from egencia whenever I book but I looked through and none of them had .ics - just checked prefs and I can choose html or plain email and I have the former selected. No options for ics. Will continue to poke.
Yeah, I think those are the itinerary emails, but there's an option somewhere I must have tweaked that sends "calendar sync" invites as well. They are neato, but more to the point I wonder if they point to a more generic ICS import failure.
Just forwarded cshields@mozilla an example of this from a recent booking
We just applied a Zimbra upgrade this last week which contained a fix for event UUIDs in VCALENDAR records containing URL parts (which is likely what was broken here). Anyone tried this since the Zimbra 7.2.1 upgrade?
I'm going to assume this was fixed in the upgrade, since nobody's responded. Please reopen if you discover otherwise.

I have discovered otherwise! Just got some more email from egencia with ics attachments that zimbra fails to recognize as calendar events.

I'll file these emails, lemme know who wants them.

FWIW, this is still broken.

Hi - We've had more users complain recently about the same issue. They cannot import the Egnencia ics attachments in Zimbra. As a workaround, they are forwarding the invite to their google calendars and then forwarding back to Mozilla so that they get the "Add to Calendar" option. Might this be fixed with Zimbra 8? Jen

We are now on Zimbra 8. Can someone give an update on whether it's still an issue or not?
Next time I book travel, I will.
Nope - ics still renders as plaintext.

Not sure if this is still an issue or not, but at this point any upstream bugfix intended to fix this won't make it into our system before we've migrated off of it anyway.
