Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/535.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/16.0.912.63 Safari/535.7

Steps to reproduce:

I am using firefox for last 4 years. Recently I have upgraded it.

Actual results:

I found the memory consumption of the mozilla (I run it in windows 7) goes beyond 1GB. even though I have browsed two or three pages. I believe there is some memory leakage.
Please attach (using the "add an attachment" link above) the output of about:memory
Please check that the memory usage isn't caused by an extension and run Firefox in the Firefox safemode: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Thanks for taking time to register in bugzilla and report this issue!

However this report does not have enough details to be acted upon usefully. See the above comments and https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Zombie_compartments if you're interested in debugging this further and providing additional details.

There's an active MemShrink effort to improve Firefox memory usage -- you can track its progress here: http://blog.mozilla.com/nnethercote/
