I just created an account on MDN. I edited my profile, and when I tried to save, I got an internal server error. I tried again, and the same thing occurred

We have bug 710255 where non-ascii characters cause problems when we send profile data from django (i.e., https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/profiles/mcote) to MindTouch (i.e., https://developer.mozilla.org/User:mcote).
James, where are we at with bug 710255?
