Zilla doesn't appear in the Tools menu when all windows are closed .
When FireFox has no windows open the Tools menu doesn't have a menu item that allow me to open ChatZilla.
- Which Firefox version? (Please browse to about: and paste the long string found under "Build Identifier" at the bottom). - Which ChatZilla version? Is it enabled? (The answers to both of these can be found in the Add-ons Manager).
ChatZilla 0.9.88 Last Updated Jan 1, 2012 Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:11.0a2) Gecko/20120117 Firefox/11.0a2 and Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:12.0a1) Gecko/20120117 Firefox/12.0a1 This is a trivial mac specific bug. I may not know what I am talking about but I think it is because there is a menubar associated with the firefox browser windows and there is one associated with no window. The reason I think this is because I can also reproduce this bug by merely moving the window into the dock (clicking the yellow button). The options for my other extensions disappear too (at least the one for Test Pilot) so I may have been wrong when I said this bug was specific to this extension. I don't know how the extensions add themselves to the menu bar.
I believe you'rew right - it's called the "hidden window" or something IIRC and it has the menus for when no window is active. What I don't remember is whether we can actually overlay it or not...
