After some amount of time of using Thunderbird, the 'Archive' feature stops functioning altogether (both via the keyboard shortcut and clicking the Archive button).

A restart of Thunderbird fixes these problems, but they always come back.

I'm using IMAP against Zimbra. Problem has occurred when archiving to an IMAP folder and when archiving to a local folder.

Tested against my Inbox folder using threaded and unthreaded mode.

When this happens, do all message move/copies stop working, or just message moves to the target archive folder? MsgCopyService + imapoffline logging might be helpful - https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging, particularly the last part of the log, where, presumably there is a failure of some sort.

In this case, Delete still works (a move to trash). I'll try manually moving/copying a message to the archive next time I hit the problem.

Thanks - I've enabled MsgCopyService logging for now and I'll report back as soon as I hit the problem again.

Adding imapoffline to the logging (MsgCopyService:5,imapoffline:5) up front is worthwhile, since that helps me see where the failure is.

Okay, I've now enabled both as you suggested.

I hit the problem again but we didn't have enough logging enabled to determine the problem. I'm now running with NSPR_LOG_MODULES=MsgCopyService:5,imapoffline:5,IMAP:5
