A little while ago we discussed with Rickshaw Bagworks (a local messenger bag company) the production of a couple of WebFWD branded bags (meant as give-aways to some select people).

Sean did a good chunk of the original design work which we really like - this is mostly just about finishing this up and getting the artwork into a format which works for Rickshaw.

For reference - the following information is extracted from email conversations with the Rickshaw team, describing limitations and process:

#####

The pattern looks great! I'm a big fan and I would like to see this done in a few ways. We can digitally print the pattern onto polyester fabric, we use a double layer polyduck to give the fabric weight. Also, it looks as though you've placed the pattern on a dark fabric. Please note that the digitally printed fabric begins with a white base and any color you'd like to see must be included in the artwork. Its as if we're printing on an inkjet printer with blank white paper. Hope that makes sense.

Please send the background art and the WebFWD logo in a high res format- drop box works great for this. I can have a sample bag made and send it to you for approval. At this time, we're looking at a 6-8 week turnaround due to the holidays.

#####

Great! Artwork can be just about anything. Design parameters are basically our patterns - 20" x 39" for the outside and inside panels of the bag and 20" x 12" for the pocket dimensions.

Things to stay away from
-mostly black printed patterns - its difficult to render black at its darkest.

#####

Sean, take a look at our embellishment guide for some samples: www.rickshawbags.com/embellish.

The pattern which Sean created and we would like to go with is here:

Sean, I know you're super busy but can you post the source files for the design you did as soon as you can? You can also just share it via email, whatever is fastest / easiest for you. Thanks so much.

To pile onto this - I'm happy to deal with all the rest, just need the high-res file for the pattern. :)

Awesome. I'll shoot this over to the Rickshaw people and see if they need anything else (which I don't expect).

Thanks again!
