I had some bookmarks in my aurora test version. after installalation of build 2012-1-17 single locale (nl) build all the bookmarks where gone. Today i installed the multilocale version (20120118) and still no bookmarks while  in my nightly version (20120108) the are still present.
We switched database stores. This was messaged in newsgroups and blog posts. You will need to rebuild the history and bookmarks.

It was at the top of "1/17: Build Available"

"Due to bug 707150, your bookmarks and history will no longer appear upon updating. This work is in preparation for Sync, which we hope to push to you all for testing in the next week!"

Sorry that this caught you unaware. If there is anything else that comes up in your testing don't hesitate to file a bug.
