We need a new app type, called ANDROID. This is for Native Firefox Mobile, as opposed to the XUL-based version (which is referred to as MOBILE).

The minimum display version will be “11.0”. The GUID is “{aa3c5121-dab2-40e2-81ca-7ea25febc110}”.

What should the app's pretty title be? "Mobile" as well?

On a related note, should this be listed from the "Other Applications" drop-down menu?

Krupa, do you have a way of testing the APIs once this is done? They should work, but we need to make sure they do.

I'm not sure exactly what APIs we'll need, so I'm CCing mfinkle. Mark?

cvan: For now, go with "Android". Eventually it will be Mobile, but we need to differentiate for now (especially in devhub).

As of right now, leave it out of the Other Applications drop down. I haven't gotten that far yet; I just want to make sure we can get the APIs they need ready to go.

I'm assuming that the APIs need testing on an Android device. I need more information about what needs to tested and what parts of it is being covered by the Mobile QA team. CC'ing Tony to see if he has more information.

We dont have any Android API test coverage at the moment. AFAICT from this bug, we might want to manually test this type with some kind of Android test App across different devices with various screen resolutions. mobile QA can compile a list of devices, but understanding more details, i can't speak now on what to commit to.
