User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Build ID: 20110928134238 Steps to reproduce: Export address book to LDIF file after adding new contacts and adding new contacts to relevant groups. Actual results: The usual 23 Kb file exports as a 5 Kb file. Instead of 27 contacts and 8 groups, there are only 9 contacts and no groups. This has been reproduced on three PCs that run 7.0.1. PCs running 3.1.16 do not exhibit this problem. When one of the PCs was reverted to 3.1.16, the problem ceased as well. Expected results: All contacts and groups should be exported.
Summary: Exported address book (LDIF) is truncated and/or corrupt. → Exported address book (LDIF) is truncated.
(In reply to lisa.macneil from comment #0) Works for me here. But it only exports the currently selected addressbook: User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:9.0) Gecko/20111222 Thunderbird/9.0.1 Application Build ID: 20111222141531

Lisa do you have an idea when this stopped working ?
I have no evidence that it ever did work in 7.0.1. As of this post, I just configured a new PC (out of the box), set up Thunderbird, and loaded a known good copy of the LDIF File. I added the user name, and exported (Locally to the desktop for testing), and the file is 5.74 KB, down from 22 KB.

Severity: normal → S3
