Hello,

I encounter a bug in Firefox 3.0.1 and in Firefox 9.0.1. Win XP.

In a page, I have an input text field in a form. It has a little width. I write many characters, so the view scrolls inside.
I press the Beginning (↖) (up‑left arrow) and End (↘) (down‑right arrow) keys. The insertion point goes at the beginning / at the end, and the view scrolls inside to the beginning / to the end. So I see the insertion point blinking. So far, so good.
Now, I press Ctrl Beginning (Ctrl ↖) and Ctrl End (Ctrl ↘). The insertion point goes at the beginning / at the end, but the view does not scroll. So I don't see the insertion point.
This is incorrect and inconsistent.
Please make the view scroll inside the text field, so that I see the insertion point.

Thanks for correcting that.

Nicolas
Hi Nicolas, is this still a problem in Firefox 11?
If so, could you provide a testcase for this (e.g. a link to a website where this happens)?

> I press the Beginning (↖) (up‑left arrow) and End (↘) (down‑right arrow) keys.

These are not available on my US keyboard. Do you mean the "Home" and "End" keys by this? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Qwerty.svg

I forgot on what page I had encountered the bug.

But I prepared this page for you, in which the “Question” field presents the same situation :

Yes, these keys.
I encounter the same bug on Firefox 16.0.2 on Linux, Ubuntu.
