Thunderbird and Firefox both hang periodically, so my assumption is a core issue.

periodically (daily) Thunderbird and/or Firefox will hang. When this occurs the crash reporter does not start and no crash report is generated. The windows crash reporter does get triggered, and I have saved copies of the data it accumulated to send Microsoft. mdmp and hdmp files one for each Firefox and Thunderbird if they are of any use. Whilst in Thunderbird, the program gets slower and slower, memory use rises from around 115,000k to 350,000k and the interface stops responding. There is obviously still activity going on in the application as the memory use in task manager continues to vary. CPU usage is quite low, around 1-2% I am creating an attachment of a screen capture of the task manager from the last Thunderbird crash which shows a phantom application
Matt, does this reproduce with trunk?

Matt, does this problem still occur with Firefox 23 or newer?

I no longer see this, but as I changed computers and operating systems it is not surprising. However the bug could be closed, as I will not be able to add further information to it.
