Description

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1
Build ID: 20111220165912

Steps to reproduce:

I accessed a page on localhost that is present in the application cache.

Actual results:

Usually it's working fine but once I got an infinite redirect loop to the same page. I had to empty the cache through Tools/Options/Advanced/Network Clear now, and Remove "localhost" entry to get again a normal behaviour.

I can reproduce it in localhost, but don't understand yet what's happening and honestly, no idea how to debug it.

Either the page that was cached has javascript calling window.location.reload() etc, theres a meta refresh to the same page, or the page wasn't cached at all and the server is forcing a redirect with a 302 Header.

Can you use Fiddler (http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2/ or your proxy tool of choice) and see if indeed Firefox is requesting the page from the server, and the servers response.

If the server is responding with a 200 OK Header then perhaps you could attach the page itself.
app cache is not long for this world..
