Two things I noticed on: https://www.mozilla.org/de/firefoxflicks/ 1) The subtitle reads "Ein weltweiter Video-Wettbewerb, um Ihre Geschichte zu erzählen". "Ihre Geschichte" means "*y*our story", while in English, we say "*our* story". The German translation doesn't convey what this campaign is about. :( 2) The page title is "Firefox-Streifen". That's a fine translation, but everywhere else we left it untouched as "Firefox Flicks", so that should probably be the same in the title.
James: Are you the person to bug about this, or is there someone else we can forward this to?
+1 for fixing both bugs. Especially the first one is really flipping it's meaning. I was confused myself. @Kristin, who do we assign FFlicks localisation/translation bugs to? pascalc?
Milos is working on flicks l10n. I've cc'd him on this bug.
Assigning to Pascal and CCing Stas. I'm working on the contest website, but Stas and Pascal were working on mozilla.org pages.

(In reply to Fred Wenzel [:wenzel] from comment #0) > 1) The subtitle reads "Ein weltweiter Video-Wettbewerb, um Ihre Geschichte > zu erzählen". I’ve now replaces „Firefox-Streifen“ with „Firefox Flicks“, but on some occasions we have „flick“ without the „Firefox“ (which is still translated as „Streifen“). That somehow leaves the translation inconsistent. By the way, where’s „everywhere else“?
(In reply to Michael 'Coce' Köhler from comment #6) > That somehow leaves the translation inconsistent. By the way, where’s > „everywhere else“? Mainly the logo in the top left corner as well as the huge text in the middle of the front page.
Ok, I thought it appears on other pages as well. I hoped the images would be replaced by text (I asked about that before (bug 708592 comment #3)) but it wasn’t changed. :-( Anyway, should be fixed now.
Strange, I’ve checked in the fixes, but it doesn’t show up on the staging page <http://www-dev.allizom.org/de/firefoxflicks/>. Pascal, do you know what’s wrong here?
I’ve checked in via Verbatim, and the path seems to be <http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/firefoxflicks/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po?view=log>. The latest revision with a few character encoding fixes is r102088.
Firefox Flicks in Verbatim is for the future full site that will be launched this week, this is not related to the teaser pages we created last quarter. You need to fix the teaser pages too.
Ah, I see. Thanks. I’ve just checked in r102092, the changes are already visible on the page. If nobody objects to the new version, I suggest we close this bug. Thanks everyone!
on production in r102094, it will be visible within 15mn, thanks Michael
