721380 - Message list jumps (scrolls) to selected message when resizing

Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to a folder with a lot of messages.  Select one in the message list and begin reading it in the preview pane.
2. Scroll the message list so that the currently selected message is not in the view (e. g. visually scanning for another message).
3. Resize the message list by moving the boundary between the message list and the preview pane.

Expected behavior:
4. The top of the message list remains fixed where it is, and more or less of the bottom of the list is shown as the bottom border of the list area is moved up or down.

Actual behavior:
4. Regardless of where you were viewing in your look through all those messages, the list jumps to have the currently selected message on top (if scrolling down past that message) or at the bottom (if scrolling up past that message).

A use case here is that I have a folder with 1000+ messages and I'm visually filtering through to see if there are any I need to keep, based on subject line - occasionally I will click on one to check on something in its contents, but then I continue scrolling - and lose my place (which could mean the review of a few hundred messages) on resizing that part of the window to see even a little bit more.

Does this happens in -safe-mode (help -> restart with addon disabled ?)

I didn't find a duplicate to this bug report, but I'd be very surprised if this isn't already reported.

resize of folder pane does same thing to folder scroll position.

Because of longstanding unfixed bugs in core functionality, I no longer use Thunderbird. However, my initial bug report above is detailed and specific with testable steps for reproduction so that any other contributor can verify if it is still an issue.
