As a pointer for myself, the CSS written for the impala lightbox in https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/0d92bea is excellent for the fluid modal we'll need for consumer UI.
Gonna land code for this as part of the details page this week. woot!

As of now, there isn't a $.modal. It was kind-of an icky pattern, but we should replace it. The prototyping phase of this is long-over so I'm calling this closed.
