STR:
1. have enough tabs that the tab bar is full, but will not overflow if another is added (I haven't tested with any fewer tabs)
2. press ctr+t
3. notice that the overflow arrows on both sides appear briefly and disrupt the layout as the new tab is created and sized
4. press ctr+w
5. notice that the overflow arrows on both sides appear briefly and disrupt the layout as the tab is shrunk and removed

It disrupts the visual flow of the animation in a distracting way sometimes. Getting rid of this problem could be a nice visual polish.
