User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 Build ID: 20111220165912 Steps to reproduce: I went to msnbc.com (which sometimes hangs, but did not this time), then went to facebook.com. Then I went to home depot.com Actual results: facebook hung for twenty five seconds. homedepot.com never loaded. The only way to make it sometimes load is to repeatedly hit enter on the address line. Expected results: not take twenty five seconds to load for FB, and homedepot never loaded. I've had lots of problems with firefox. I have almost exclusively switched to Chrome and IE. I only use firefox because it remembers some of my passwords. There are serious issues. Some websites never load. Search your forums and see the problems people are having. It's really terrible.
oh, and its still trying to load, 8 minutes and counting. This problem started suddenly awhile back, maybe 7 months. I'm using current version of FF.
Could you please check if safe mode makes any difference, sometimes add-ons can add a lot to load times: http://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe+mode
