All push memory usage to the max and have been a continual source of problems. dmandelin, do you think they are worth running on a per check in basis or should they just be skipped?

I'd skip 'em. IME, OOM stress tests in the suite that keep causing problems are usually more trouble than they are worth, and we have too many other things to worry about to try to make them work well.
philor: want to go ahead and write a patch to skip them?
