User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 Build ID: 20111223083612 Steps to reproduce: I have a directory which contained Firefox 9.0.1. I used Firefox's auto-update mechanism to update to the new Firefox 10 release. Actual results: Firefox 10 no longer starts. Expected results: Firefox 10 should start. If that fails, it should fall back to the old version. Request that this be marked as critical. Unpacking and running the Firefox 10 binary x86_64 manually gives the same result.
Severity: normal → critical
Version: 9 Branch → 10 Branch
RHEL 5.7 (latest updates). Nvidia proprietary driver. Safe mode also does not work. ldd shows no missing libraries on firefox-bin.
Firefox 9 also stopped working. Kernel upgrade+reboot: both work. Strange. NOTABUG?
