User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0 Build ID: 20120129021758 Steps to reproduce: Double-clicked on firefox shortcut, changed window focus to another application(while firefox window still hasn't popped up), returned to firefox when it popped up. Actual results: The location bar and search bar is not working: I cannot see the blinking cursor when I click on it, but letters appear when typed, letters are not highlighted in blue when selected but selecting still works (you can select and delete whole text), Hitting enter after typing anything on location/search bar does nothing: not going to the typed website/not searching. Firefox does not regain focus properly Expected results: Typing a location in the location bar and hitting enter should take you to the new location. Minimizing firefox and reopening again fixes the issue, the issue also does not appear if you don't do anything while firefox is starting. The issue started only after updating from 9.0.1 to 10.0
Confirmed that the issue is present only in FF 10.0 with another PC
Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile If it still occurs, Please post the contents of about:support as a text attachment to this bug
Alright I narrowed down the bug to an add-on called autoauth (I use it to automatically submit proxy authentication) the problem does not occur with the said add-on disabled... But it used to work fine with ff 9.0.1, is there going to be a fix?
Avin -> You will need to contact the add-on author. They are likely the only ones who can supply a fix. If they find it is a bug in Firefox they can post back here.
