User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0 Build ID: 20120129021758 Steps to reproduce: I regularily receive emails with automatically generated PDFs as attachments. When I open these mails in Thunderbird, the attachments are not visible. When I open the same mail in my webmail client (roundcube), they work as expected Actual results: This used to work in Thunderbird 3 (not sure which version exactly). In later versions, the attachments became invisble. I thought I found a ticket regarding this once and it said it should be fixed in version 10, but since I'm now using version 10 and the problem still persists, I'm opening a new report Expected results: The attachments should have been displayed, or at least some indication that Thunderbird can't read the mail and that some parts might be missing
This happens to me on Linux and on Mac OS, haven't tried Win, but I guess it's the same
OS: Mac OS X → All
This is the same email in Roundcube (not how the attachment is visible, while there's no indication in thunderbird)
> Content-Type: multipart/related; boundary="_----------=_132552248930567" > --_----------=_132552248930567 > Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 > Content-Type: application/pdf; name="AAA000045108295.pdf" The PDF attachment is in a multipart/related context (should be multipart/mixed) without being referenced to, so that's technically an invalid message. However, given that apparently quite a few mail programs/systems are using this construct, there is a bug report pending with patch up for review to cover this case.
