Steps to reproduce:

Forwarded an email.


Actual results:

At the top of the forwarded messages this text appeared:

[if !mso]> st1\:*{behavior:url(#default#ieooui) } <![endif]

Replied messages are unaffected. Most forwarded messages look fine, this bug appears only in a few messages.

The bug appeared with Thunderbird update to 10.0. 


Expected results:

Forwarded email should look as original, without any html source code.

Would it be possible to attach the problematic messages (after removing sensitive info)?

If I remove sensitive info, the email is blank. I cannot provide full email as it has some sensitive info...

Attachment: Minimum test mail created from test mail of bug 549883

Phenomenon observed is;
 HTML comment string in HTML comments before first style tag in head section
 is treated as message body text by Forward in HTML mode.
This doesn't occur in Tb 9.0.1 on Win-XP.

Note:
This bug's problem was initially reported to bug 549883 comment #6 & #7.
Problem can be observed with attachment 430001 [details] (attached to bug 549883 comment #1). multipart is irrelevant to this bug and text/html part only is sufficient to see problem.

I have this as a repeatable bug. It does not require any images/attachments in the incoming message.
Incoming message definitely from Outlook.
I have now seen this with approx 6 messages over a period of two to three months. That's probably less than 1% of the total.
I am happy to try new builds on this, but the message itself is sensitive and cannot be released.
Note Reply and Reply All both work fine.

I have the same problem with one message on Thunderbird 10.
It works fine with Thunderbird 11...

Looks like the bug was fixed in TB 11...
