User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0) Gecko/20120129 Firefox/10.0 SeaMonkey/2.7 Build ID: 20120129104549 Steps to reproduce: I've a tag for a non visible object in the <head> of source code from my website. That is correct according to standard HTML, because, as mentioned, the object is not visible. Actual results: At this <object> the DOM automatically considered the head at an end, and both the object as well as all subsequent code (belonging to the <head>) being to <body> Expected results: The DOM must allow an object in the head of the document, although it can be an element with content, which must when visible in the body.
HTML5 disallows <object> elements in <head>. See: http://www.w3.org/TR/html5-diff/#changed-elements "The head element no longer allows the object element as child."

ok, thanks for the answer. Quote from the side of the W3C: "HTML5 is still a draft. The contents of HTML5, as well as the contents of this document which depend on HTML5, are still being discussed on the HTML Working Group and WHATWG mailing lists. The open issues are linked from the HTML5 draft." But if seamonkey.at feels they must make a browser that supports HTML 5 is intended to have, okay, I look for just a clever browser that works even after the applicable standard. Goodby Seamonkey! All the years it was a good work with you.
Gecko (Firefox,Seamonkey), Opera, webkit (Chrome, Safari) and IE will follow html5 wither already now or in the near future. Good luck with lynx !
