User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:12.0a2) Gecko/20120207 Firefox/12.0a2 Build ID: 20120207042017 Steps to reproduce: When visiting various websites I'm seeing an element's background-color drawn in the wrong place, usually too far from the top of the element. The problem goes away if I restart Aurora without hardware acceleration enabled. This has only happened since I updated to Aurora 12 (i.e. it seems to be a regression from Aurora 11). I'm on Windows Vista 32bit SP2, with an ATi Radeon HD 3870 X2. I updated my graphics driver (from 8.920.0.0 to 8.930.0.0), but it didn't fix the problem. From about:support: Name: Firefox Version: 12.0a2 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:12.0a2) Gecko/20120207 Firefox/12.0a2 Adapter Description: ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 Vendor ID: 0x1002Device ID0x950f Adapter RAM: 512 Adapter Drivers: aticfx32 aticfx32 atiumdag atidxx32 atiumdva Driver Version: 8.930.0.0 Driver Date: 12-5-2011 Direct2D Enabled: true DirectWrite Enabled: true (7.0.6002.18392) ClearType Parameters: ClearType parameters not found WebGL Renderer: Google Inc. -- ANGLE (ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2) -- OpenGL ES 2.0 (ANGLE 1.0.0.963) GPU Accelerated Windows: 1/1 Direct3D 10 AzureBackend: direct2d Actual results: When visiting https://github.com/Modernizr/Modernizr/commit/b51f17bb717bcbcfe3f918ff95c9ee33c6d3afc0 the background of div class="commit full-commit" only partially fills the box. See the attached screenshot. I also see the effect on this site, e.g. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=716439 but I need to scroll the page up and down to see it. In this case, clicking outside the Firefox window (e.g. on the desktop) fixes the problem (Firefox redraws the backgrounds in the right place). Expected results: The background-color should be drawn correctly, filling the entire box.

I don't remember doing that, but apparently I did. Setting gfx.content.azure.enabled to false makes the problem go away. I guess this is an Azure issue then!

In fact, this appears to be a duplicate of bug 717302.
