User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu/10.04 Chromium/16.0.912.77 Chrome/16.0.912.77 Safari/535.7 Steps to reproduce: We have the following environment: Davical CALDAV server with an calendar in use for all employees some different CALDAV clients: Thunderbird with lightning (My users have thunderbird 3.1.16 and lightning 1.0b2, I installed thunderbird 10.0 and lightning 1.2.1 to see if these versions fixed the problem but these display the same behavior.) Apple iPads and some iPhones The clients are simply retreiving the calendar from the server. One colleague has made an weekly recurring all day appointment. After a while he edited the one of the dates to have it Monday for that time only. And a couple of months he did the same. Both times editing the summary of the event reflecting the some more explanation about the change. This however resulted in the same summary. Actual results: The weekly recurring event is not shown anymore by lightning, It only shows the first exception on the weekly rule. While loading the calendar you see the weekly event showing up for a short while, but while further loading the calendar is disappears again. This is probably when the exception is loaded. Other CALDAV clients show the events as expected. Expected results: The weekly and the exceptions should be shown as they are planned
Hello, I have the same issue with the server being Exchange (either 2003 or 2010 SP1) so the bug could be confirmed. If you want I can upload some screenschots, do not hesitate to ask for more information Kind Regards
I have the same problem. I'm using Lightning with Thunderbird, and connect to an Exchange server through CALDAV. When I edit in Lightning a single occurrence of a recurring event, all of the recurring events disappear except for the exceptional one. But if I change one occurrence of a recurring event through MS Outlook, then Lightning will later show both the change and the recurring event correctly.

Google-Translation:
A change is planned for recurring appointments (here: the category); the change will not take effect if "edit all appointments" is selected but only works with "edit this appointment only". In addition, the change entered disappeared again after restarting Thunderbird (observed on a PC with Windows 8.1 and Thunderbird 78.6.0).

Deep-Translation:
For recurring appointments, a change is scheduled (here: the category); the change does not take effect when "Edit all appointments" is selected but only works for "Edit this appointment only". In addition, the entered change disappears again after restarting Thunderbird (observed on a PC with Windows 8.1 and Thunderbird 78.6.0).

Severity: normal → S3

Im facing the exact same issue described here. After the organizer edited a recurring event changing the date of one specific event (exception), Thunderbird calendar stops to show all other events of the recurring series. The same calendar/events are shown correct in other clients (iPhone).

Reproduced with latest version 147, and also with 128 ESR.

Very critical issue. Missing events on calendar can cause tremendous problems.

Any plan to fix it?

Additional info: The same calendar/events are also shown correctly using TbSync with Exchange Active Sync.
