With panda's on the horizon and the real need to *not* continue down the foopy-as-mac-mini path, I would like to request a single linux server to use as a prototype/dev area for getting the current foopy code running on linux instead of OS X This could start as a VM, but the final version would need to be a "real" server because of Talos requirements

Can we please be sure to build them up with Puppet this time?

bhearsum++ Also, can you give me some more detail on why these will need to be hardware? Space for hardware is limited in mtv1. 40 linux foopies (20 tegra + 20 panda) would be a full rack!

If it's releng puppet, then that means CentOS 5.5. I assume specs on this are vague to start with, so I'll take a stab: 20GB disk 1 CPU 1GB RAM Build network IP In mtv1 hostname linux-foopy-test.build.mtv1.mozilla.com Matt (ask for bugs and ye shall receive), can you spin that up for Bear?

To be honest we don't know if it has to be hardware, I'm willing to take a stab at testing on a VM first to find that out. your specs above all seem sane.

I've set the root pw on the vm to the releng root pw. It's ready for you guys to puppetize.
