Using today's builds on Win98 & Linux:
Launch mail and open folder menu , e.g. on File button.
Note there is no <foo> folder
Add new IMAP folder, <foo>, using some other MUA
Open up folder menu again.
No <foo>
Open folder hierarchy in sidebar.
Note <foo> is there.
Open folder menu again.
Still no <foo>
Workaround: use Move Message command in Message menu.
I wonder if tied in any way to

I just tried this and couldn't reproduce it. I used the 12/7 build on Win 2000.
I created folders in my IMAP and POP accounts at both the top level and under
subfolders and I could see them show up immediately in the File menu.

Are you still seeing this, Peter?

Confirmed working in Mozilla 1.3b Build ID 2003021008
This bug can be closed as: "RESOLVED"
Please note that reporter calls the "File" toolbar button incorrectly as "open
folder menu"
Can still reproduce this as described in the duped bug 157451 (see the second
comment that points out you have to create a toplevel- and a subfolder).
Still happends in Mozilla 1.4 using the test-case described in bug #157451
comment #1
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
To reproduce in Mozilla 1.7.5 on WinXP using an IMAP server(UW IMAP):
1. Stay in a message from an IMAP INBOX
2. Create a new folder named: test1
3. Create a new subfolder of test1 named: test11
4. Do NOT click on folder test1 nor test11
Problems:
5. Navigate using the "File" button in the toolbar, there is no folder test11
6. Navigate using the "Move to" context menu, there is no folder test11
Woks:
7. Navigate using the "Copy to" context menu, IT WORKS!

Don't know why the "Copy to" context menu works but not the others.
