726142 - Mozilla.org/apps: Temporary Product Page - copy

Hi there

I just filed a bug here to design and create a temporary mozilla.org/apps landing page: bug 726140

The page will consist of three main areas that we would like help refining the content please.

1. Basic content about Mozilla Marketplace

2. Email signup
Here why need a CTA for sign up - copy is being finalized, likely something like this "Sign up for more news about the coming "Mozilla Marketplace".

There would be a drop down box to select what group you fall under e.g.

Interested in buying apps
Interested in building apps
Interested in partnering

there would need to be a box which would capture the email address

and a submit box with check box for privacy policy. Best to follow the email best practice already in place for mozilla.org/firefox


3. CTA for developers
Not sure if this would be a button or not -- should be smaller than the email sign ups area, but notable for developers to see it (!)
The final content is being defined - likely be something like "Want to develop an app for the Mozilla Marketplace? Learn more" -- it will link to our apps page on MDN.

NOTE: We are waiting for messaging from the Comms team later today. As soon as I have this, I will include draft copy for review.

The temp page will allow us to start to get the word out whilst we are in this interim period.

Ideally we are looking to have the page live on Feb 27 or before. It would be super to have copy nailed down by Feb 15th please.

Hi there -- we now have content pretty settled from out side. Please see this below. Matej the language used is based off the MWC messaging from the Comms team. Do you want me to add in here for your reference? Or if you're happy - we would just love your expert tone and English eyes please. thanks for your help.

Made a few comments on the design bug about the interest areas.  

These work fine.  But if we want to simplify - if we're dealing with a primarily dev audience, we might consider eliminating interest and opt them in for the apps dev newsletter. 

But if we are unsure on what the attendee make up might be, this approach makes a lot of sense.

hey there - just posted this in the design bug too:

We are unclear as to how many people will see this page and their interests hence the drop down. I would like to keep this please. 

In terms of design -- perhaps we can reduce the size of the header? and add in that paragraph break in the body copy?
