Details
(Keywords: uiwanted, Whiteboard: [bugday-20131111])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.1
Build ID: 20120208060813
Steps to reproduce:
trying to allow a cookie, which is opening Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Exceptions (-> scrolling down to the name -> removing the cookie) -> typing the name of the site -> allowing to set cookies
Actual results:
cookie permissions changed
Expected results:
There should be a button or a menu entry in Tools menu to simply allow cookies from the actual website to be set instead of having half an odyssey to set one single cookie permission.
Handling like in SeaMonkey would be a good approach.
I know there are addons to handle this more easily. But in my opinion, it's a proprietary function of browser security and should not need any addon to be handled in a less complicated and more user friendly way.

In 2013-11-11-03-02-05-mozilla-central-firefox-28.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64, you can click the icon on the left end of the address bar, choose More Information, and there on the Permissions pane, is a "Set Cookies" check box. There is also Permissions Manager at about:permissions.
