I believe we have an issue with news.mozilla.org - at least with newsgroup mozilla.dev.security.policy

I have chosen high priority for this bug, because we currently have an important discussion on the newsgroup regarding the TrustWave CA.

I often post to that list. I have always posted using my old nntp thunderbird account from kaie@kuix.de

But today, I posted twice to the list, and it didn't go through.

(Because the messages were urgent, I subscribed by email - which allowed me to submit my messages.)

So, *my* messages went through via the email channel.

===
But I'm worried that we might currently lose important submissions from people trying to participate in the discussion who still use NNTP.
===

I don't know how many people that might be.
Thanks for looking for mistakes.

Check for NNTP submissions from kaie@kuix.de if you need a test case.
NNTP submission twice failed - email submission worked.

Kathleen, can you please check if you see a message from Callek/gmail in the moderator queue?
(If not, he is having the same problem.)

The admin queue is empty.
Ok, this sounds like an issue I have had in the past with m.announce but was never able to get traction on anyone looking into it. Where m.announce is a moderated group and my NG postings were always failing to even appear in mod queue. (that is Bug 684164)

While posting to m.d.s.policy from NNTP as Kathleen noted in c#2 its not appearing in mod queue or going through to list, while posting via NNTP to m.s.seamonkey continues to work fine.

There is also a user in the m.d.s.policy who mentions to have the same issue with m.d.t.crypto (in addition to m.d.s.policy)
FYI, at 2:38pm my time (EST) I got a "held for mod" e-mail on this

   SpamAssassin identified this message as possible spam (score 2.2)
I sent an email to Giganews to verify.

I see it in the admin interface.
Is this still an issue?
Closing out, please re-open or file a new bug if the problem persists.
