It's time to phase out the gray tab replace it with Tabzilla for en-US sites.

Thanks all.
What is the timeline for this?

before the end of Q1, localizations will roll out in Q2
Blocks: 726830
Target Milestone: Q1 2012 → 6.4.4
AMO is a multilingual site. Does this need to go on just the en-US version before Q2 or can we wait for the localized version?

If possible, the approach we're taking this quarter is to go ahead and add Tabzilla to the en-US version of sites, and then work toward a localized version in Q2.
+1 this was also mentioned in comment 0
will try to get this in with the marketplace refresh

Marketplace already has this.

I'm talking about the discussion of how much the marketplace design will bleed onto amo.

That would be a really good discussion to have soon. Fwiw, we have the marketplace coming out and we also have a new look being applied to both mozilla.org and mozilla.org/firefox in the coming weeks. So, it feels like time to talk about how all this effects AMO, and where it fits into the design scheme.
Wil/Fligtar: Do you have an update on when the tab can be added to AMO?

I don't. There are no active developers focused on AMO.

I noticed the repository in comment 0 says it is no longer maintained. Are the instructions at http://bedrock.readthedocs.org/en/latest/tabzilla.html still accurate?

The repo now lives directly within bedrock and you can find it here:

https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/tree/master/bedrock/tabzilla

It is being updated pretty regularly and AMO is about the last site to use it. Yes, that is the correct docs.
Wil: if I check the commit log for Zamboni, I see commits every few hours from people. I don't think this is major task. Can we see if a contributor can do the PR for this?

I'm finding people who can work on AMO. Commits to zamboni have little to do with this. If you have a contributor let me know.

There's a bug on file with the application dropdown overlapping with the mozilla tab.

This looks fine @ https://addons-dev.allizom.org/en-US/thunderbird/
