for the last 24 hours i've been unable to reliably connect to the etherpad. in a meeting just now, people are saying that they are connncted, and then they get a "re-establishing connection" and some people get a 404 page or equivalent. and when it does load, it is incredibly slow.

i've been told that the desktop team is recommending people using Chrome to access etherpad -- it seems to work for me, but at the same time Firefox is working for me again (not sure if this helps, but it's a data point that i've heard)

Etherpad was down this morning but was brought back since this bug was filed. It is experiencing intermittent outages (about once a week or so). We are in the process of a new etherpad version, pending infrasec review. We don't know for sure that it will fix the problems experienced here but it is worth a shot.
