Description

Kubla is no longer used and can be shutdown.  This includes:

- kubla.mozilla.com and any dev/staging sites
- the heartbeat at http://10.2.74.55:8778/heartbeat
- the nagios checks hitting that heartbeat ^
- there are several cron jobs running related to kubla
- There are some init.d scripts installed to run that heartbeat script if things go poorly

Thanks for filing this, Wil. I agree with this, kubla is not used for mozilla.com deployment anymore. CCing jlongster for input, too.

Oh, there is also an SVN hook which should be removed.

Sorry, I are teh dumbz with respect to svn hooks...

I see some files on dm-svn01:/repo/svn/mozilla/hooks, named kubla-*... do I just rm those or is there more to it?

It turns out there's at least one more service on these hosts - see bug 726718 - so don't kill the hosts when kubla's gone.

dm-cms01 is slated to die before the 4/9 train - is that safe to do, or is there still something to do on this bug?  If this is just killing dm-cms{01,03} (per https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/websites/Killing+sjc1+hosts of course) and deleting the svn hooks, that should be pretty easy.
