Attached file Ad Creative Brief
Hi,

As part of our sponsorship of the San Francisco International Film Festival we receive space for a full page 4-color ad in the program. I've attached a creative brief outlining the requirements for the ad. We'd like the ad to promote flicks and encourage people to go to the site and vote.

I apologize but I just found out the ad is due 2/22. I have asked for an extension and would bet we can get one. I am hoping to buy us another week. Stay tuned.

Thanks,
Kristin

What do you think about repurposing this here:

https://bug712815.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=584632

I would just make a few tweaks to the copy:

[HEADLINE]
Lights! Camera! Awesome!

[SUBHEAD]
Mozilla presents Firefox Flicks
A global video contest to tell our story

[COPY]
As a non-profit, Firefox is the only browser that puts you first. Now we want to put you in the director’s chair to help spread our message. You could win some amazing prizes and your submission will be seen by Hollywood judges, including Edward Norton and producers Shauna Robertson and Jeffrey Silver.

Yes, I think we can repurpose. My only comment is that I think we need to try and address both the folks that would enter as well as those that will view the content. With a bigger focus on those that will view the content as this is going to be published late April close to the entry deadline. So, we should add something like come view great content and vote for your favorite.
Makes sense. Made some revisions below. Let me know if that addresses your comments.

that works. Thanks.

FF Flicks full page ad

Looks great. Chelsea, thoughts?

I know we approved the copy but I don't think we can say "vote". Legal won't like that. I think we will need to say something like "pick your favorite" or something along those lines.

Chelsea, do you mind checking with legal on this? Thanks!
I've asked legal and we're in the process of clarifying. I think it looks good!
Thanks.

One more thing. Is there any legal that needs to be on the ad? Anything for trademark or anything else?
Looks good to me, just wondering if we should be following the site style a little more closely here (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefoxflicks/), i.e. the more condensed, all-caps subhead and the serif font (I think it's Georgia) for the copy. Also, in this case Mozilla should be capitalized since it's not the standard wordmark. Thanks.
Looking good!

+1 to Matej's comments re: consistent text styles from site. Also, breaking up the content with coloured headlines might help the layout as it feels a bit busy now.

I wonder if the sizes couldn't be tweaked down a bit. If text was brought down a notch, might be able to space things out a bit and give it more of a clean column feel like the site.
Just got word from legal - we're good with vote in the program.
Once the changes are made we should probably show it to Chris. I don't expect him to have changes just want to make sure he sees it, more as a FYI.
Hey all,
Do we have the final version of this? I need to give it to the SFiFF today.

Kristin, did Chris approve it?
no, but its in the format of all the other flicks stuff so i think its ok.
Great. I'll pass it on to Melanie then. Thanks all!
Can I get the layered files for this ad, please? I need to send it to NoBox so they can translate it into Spanish. Thanks!
Hi Rhonda,

Can I get the layered file of this ad today? Thanks so much!
