Using 5/25 M6 Apprunner across platform. Open attached URL. Text placement in block differs across platform: Win 95, Win 98, Win NT: Text falls out of block Mac8.5, Linux: Text fits within block
I can't see exactly the problem you describe (since I'm only on one platform), but this might be related to bug 4234.
I ran the test case again using 8/16 Appruner on all platforms. On Linux and Mac, the text fits within the paragraph box. On Win 95, Win NT and Win 98, the text is displayed too low within the paragraph box resulting in the baseline rednering outside the paragraph box.
Not sure if this is a vertical align issue of a font metrics issue. If font metrics, please pass on to font guys.
Can you please attach a gif image (after enabling Visual Debugging) from the viewer showing the problem? thanks

1. font-size is specified in a platform independent way (you are inheriting the font-size from ua.css). 2. The *actual* font size will depend on the platform (and is allowed to be different than the specified size). Therefore no bug. If you want to try to force the font to be pixel accurate cross platform then you have to provide a font for each machine that is the same (which there is currently no way to do within mozilla). Give up hope all ye who enter here :-)
